Jefferson Memorial Hospital Opens New Emergency Department
Nearly 100 invited guests gathered Thursday August 19th at the emergency department entrance of West Virginia University Hospitals-East's Jefferson Memorial Hospital to celebrate the official opening of the expanded and renovated emergency department.
Jefferson Memorial Hospital's new emergency department features 16 private rooms, including a 4 bed minor care treatment area. It also has a decontamination room, emergency operations command center, new ambulance entrance and ample patient parking.

HealthNet Aeromedical Services to Open Eighth Base
Joint effort of HealthNet, Air Methods, West Virginia University Hospitals/WVUH-East
HealthNet Aeromedical Services announced today it will open its eighth medical helicopter base to be located in Martinsburg, W.Va., serving West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle and surrounding areas.
This new air medical base is a joint effort between HealthNet, Air Methods, West Virginia University Hospitals and West Virginia University Hospitals-East. The base will be located at the regional airport and will serve as the primary medical helicopter service for WVUH-East's City Hospital and Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
