City Hospital Lab Receives Accreditation from College of American Pathologists

The laboratory at West Virginia University Hospitals-East's City Hospital in Martinsburg has been awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
City Hospital is one of more than 7,000 CAP-accredited laboratories worldwide. During the accreditation process, inspectors examined the laboratory's records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. Inspectors also examined laboratory staff qualifications as well as the lab's equipment, facilities, safety program and overall management of the laboratory.
